Hi, I’m Omid. I studied software engineering, and most of my work has been on backends and servers, first with my university classmates and later with the Chartbox team. Some of our projects worked out and many didn’t, and I learned something from each one.

    Financial-market review and affiliate sites in PHP, a couple of research projects, and later TradingFinder as project manager. I left the team at the start of 2026.

    Started with university classmates right after graduating. I worked on the backend and servers of our products: an SMS stock-alert service, an SMS panel, a mobile store builder and Kojafood.

Thesis on context-aware recommender systems, using the data the Kojafood startup had gathered from restaurants in Tehran and other cities.

A site that introduces, compares and reviews brokers, crypto exchanges, prop firms and more, plus custom indicators for TradingView, MetaTrader and NinjaTrader. In Persian, English and Turkish.

Kojafood

An app a bit like Foursquare, with restaurants on a map. Many people in different cities of Iran collected menus and photos from restaurants. It was also shown at the Tehran tourism exhibition.

SMS Panel

A promotional SMS service with a directory of business numbers. The base came from elsewhere; I upgraded and rewrote it. Resellers could point their own domain to our server and change the theme and colors.

Iran stock market info by SMS, from the days before fast mobile internet was everywhere. Subscribers could set a price alert on a symbol, or get index data by texting a command to our number.
